Baku served as the second stage of the 2025 World Cup series, following the season opener in Cottbus. Multiple Olympians and World Championships gymnasts competed, including eight time Olympian Oksana Chusovitina who won a historic VT bronze in the Cottbus World Cup season opener event, setting a new modern era record. Gymnast from 14 nations competed in Baku qualifications, held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Azerbaijan, Baku.
