Women’s gymnastics is the most watched Olympic sport, attracting record NCAA audiences. However, unlike other top sports, there’s no professional path forward post college or elite. Global Impact Gymnastics Alliance seeks to build a future where “turning pro” in gymnastics means athletes are enabled to pursue revenue opportunities on the field of play, as well as sustain extended competitive careers well past late teen or college years. Likewise, instead of watching athletes forced into premature retirements, passionate fans can support, follow, and celebrate gymnasts - and see more world class gymnastics - far beyond today’s limited Olympic or NCAA cycles.
Before NIL there was little to no money to be made in (gymnastics), and after college, there is nowhere to look to continue to grow in the sport… I cannot wait for there to be another avenue to look forward to.
