Leanne Wong has built one of the sport's most consistent bridges between elite and collegiate gymnastics. A two-time World AA silver medalist, two-time Olympic alternate and University of Florida standout, Wong entered the 2025 season with World team titles and NCAA championship success already on her resume.

In 2025, Wong paired veteran precision with a rebuilt elite program. She finished second at the U.S. Championships (111.200), won the national vault title, then earned another U.S. World team selection. At the 2025 World Championships in Jakarta, Wong posted the highest cumulative execution score of the entire AA final (32.866) and took silver at 54.966, just 0.100 behind gold medalist Angelina Melnikova.

That trajectory positions Wong's next Olympic cycle as a case study in staying power.

Wong's 2026 season tested that durability. A wrist injury before the U.S. Classic in July limited her to beam only. She rebuilt toward the U.S. Championships in Phoenix but hyperextended her knee in podium training and withdrew. Wong successfully petitioned to the 2026 U.S. World Team Selection Camp, joining 15 senior women competing September 30 through October 1 in Crossville, Tennessee, for a spot at the 2026 World Championships in Rotterdam (October 17-25).
